We tell the story of Kansas City’s innovation community of entrepreneurs, startups, creatives, makers and risk-takers through our solutions-based newsroom — Startland News.
We work with starters to develop real-world, problem solving skills, and with educators to facilitate this type of learning every day in the classroom through Startland Education.
We host a variety of events intended to create a better-connected, more-informed entrepreneurial and innovation community in Kansas City.

Communities are built by starters. We equip, connect, and inspire them to do big things.

Entrepreneurship is economic development, and when it’s accessible to all communities, it can help close the entrepreneurial opportunity gap in our region, and beyond.

Current Skill Building Opportunities

Social Change Internship: Women’s Cohort (Cohort 12)

Term: Fall 2024 | Hybrid Weekly Classes on Tuesdays, 6:00PM-7:30PM CST

Join us in this paid, 9-week internship designed for 9th-12th grade students to create solutions to social problems through human-centered design thinking. The fall cohort is intentionally women only, as we endeavor to create equitable opportunities for our community.
