Back2KC is a year-round initiation highlighted by an annual two-day experience that invites successful tech, creative and business-minded former Kansas Citians to reconnect with their hometown. In 2018, 26 of these “Champions” returned. Four have since moved back and five expanded their business(s) to KC.Visit Back2KC.org
MECA Methods is “disruptive” professional development for educators, equipping them with a design thinking experience and methodology to utilize in their classrooms. During the 2018/19 school year, STARTLAND trained 35 teachers who instruct roughly 2,500 students annually.
Our work with educators also includes Innovative Schools Visits and screenings of the film Most Likely to Succeed.

The Top VC-Backed Companies Celebration is an invite-only reception to celebrate and recognize the collective accomplishments of Kansas City’s growth-stage, venture capital-backed companies highlighted in an annual report published in Startland News.
